Biography
Amelia Rosebud Clarke (b.2002, Reading, UK), is an interdisciplinary visual artist and experimental filmmaker. Her practice consists of moving image, performance, installation and textiles. She combines analogue and digital filmmaking processes, constructing highly immersive environments that sit between fiction and lived experience. She challenges the boundaries between scenography, visual syntax and narrative structure, reflecting on the emotional conditions of modern life.
Her recent projects have focused on the loneliness epidemic and enshittifcation of society resulting from tech dominance and the addictive effect of social media. Amelia uses super 8, digital video, production design, prosthetics, and costume design incorporating electronic materials, to present the intersection between separation, intimacy, and the ways individuals navigate connection within increasingly mediated environments.
